Burj Al Arab

Dubai is probably most famous for its luxurious hotels and resorts, while the world's only seven-star hotel Burj Al Arab practically became Dubai's symbol and the main tourist attraction. Burj Al Arab is located on an artificial island and is at 321 meters (1050 feet) the tallest building in the world that is used exclusively as a hotel. Burj Al Arab was designed by British architect Tom Wright and was build between 1994 and 1999. The construction works of the hotel that resembles a sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel, and costed US$650 millions was carried out by the South African construction contractor Murray & Roberts.

The 28-floor hotel offers countless possibilities both to relax and entertain oneself but it is also perfect to make business. All 150 bedroom suites are double-storey and cover an area from 169 square meters (1,819 square feet) to 780 square meters (8,395 square feet). In lower floor is a living room with dinning table for four persons and a bar, toilet for guests, and a dressing room, while a king-size bed and luxurious bathroom with a jacuzzi is located at the upper floor. The cost of staying one night at the Burj Al Arab starts at US$1,000, while the most expensive Royal Suite cost about US$28,000 per night.

Each of hotel's eight restaurants and bars has its own style, while most popular are Al Muntaha located 200 meters (660 feet) above the ground and Al Mahara that is situated under the sea level and features large seawater aquarium.
